Here you go. It catches the light very nicely and there's so much glass to brighten it up. Really pleased.

VRS TSI Estate in race blue with BW6 (this week) confirmed. Delivery will be 1st March or pretty soon afterwards. It will be the first new car I have taken at the start of a new year/plate. For the most part I am not bothered when I take delivery of a car, but it would seem foolish accepting a 53 with only a week or so to go until 14.

March 1st conveniently falls on a Saturday as well.

on a provisional BW7 (next week) so should be looking like my Red vRS diesel hatch should be arriving on these shores for an early March delivery. getting slightly excited - October order date seems so long ago, and yes I know some have been waiting longer.

Trying not to get too excited until, one the car is at code 20 (confirmed build week) and then at dealers

Wonder how may dealers will be working hard on those March 1st registrations - being a Saturday...

I've been told I was confirm BW5 (last week) and looking at 01 March collection.  First new car and a bonus that it'll be on the first day.  Candy White vRS TDI DSG Estate.

I've been told 2 weeks for delivery and a further week for PDI ect. hence, if the car is built this week before Friday, it'll be 3 weeks till the 1st of March.

I might be wrong but one thing for sure, I'm hopeful

Mine is a vRS hatch manual petrol in race blue built week 4 and has already arrived in the UK, so It would probably be ready to pick up in a week or so but I'm gonna wait till the 1st and get that new 14 plate...can't wait!

As mentioned on previous posts I'm getting some resistance from the dealer who seems keen on me having it on a 63 plate rather than a 14. We've not come to blows yet but I'm anticipating the "to be taken within 7 days of informed delivery date" clause in the small print being thrown at me.

I gather there's not much I can do short of appealing to their better (?) nature or threatening to pick it up from them whilst exhibiting symptoms of raging norovirus at it's most infectious stage with potential for projectile vomiting. Before you suggest going on holiday for the rest of February the salesperson goes past my house on their commute so maybe bribery will be the way forward; it's a worry but is not stopping me from being worryingly excited for a supposedly grown man...

Elegance 2.0 TDi manual estate in white, spare wheel.

Trading a year old vRS Blackline estate in for it as wanted a well spec'd car of the same footprint without sports suspension (have tired of firm rides after having various sports suspended VAG cars over the past several years and now having a young family seemed to make sense).

Would have loved a vRS TSi but not the firm ride or running costs so here I am.

No buyers remorse yet but we'll see when it turns up.

Have been told today my Candy White vRS Hatchback complete with Black pack, Heated seats,Kessy,Canton Sound System, Colour Maxi Dot system and Spare wheel is on the back of a transporter on route to Germany to be shipped to Grimsby and then transported to Shrewsbury.

The long wait nearly over.!!!

I had the same threat.  My dealer said I had signed to say I would take it within 10 days of it arriving at the dealer.  I pointed out on the same piece of paper it said 12-14 weeks delivery and they haven't managed that.  They are looking into what they can do.

Mine was built in week 3, so I'll be collecting it on the 1st march. Topaz brown 2.0tdi elegance with several options.

Fingers crossed for 1st March... 2.0 TDi Elegance Estate, Candy White, Winter pack, LED's and spare wheel.. Been told it's in Germany..can't wait!

1st of march here too (hopefully), dealer keeps telling me it's on course for then! (Due in to the dealership mid feb)

Meteor Grey, VRS Hatch TDi and a few options

Anybody collecting from Alex Lawrie on March 1st?

I was told today that it has arrived in Grimsby!

Elegance 2.0Tdi manual estate, black, Columbus, canton, spare wheel.

Dealer seems fine about hanging on until March 1st.

VRS TSI estate in brilliant silver, sunset glass and a few other bits and bobs currently sitting in Germany at the port but the dealer has no idea when it'll be shipped. Given I ordered beginning of Sept hoping it will be here in next couple of weeks. The dealer's not up for holding back registration until March but I'll wait and see.

Ours was build week 4. Dealer has confirmed the car is waiting to ship to the UK. Race Blue TDI VRS Estate, Winter Pack, Sunset Glass, Black Pack, Mitsumi, Variable Boot Floor and Full Size Spare. Dealer is happy for a 1st March collection :)

Rally green tdi estate, built bw3,i refused to take it before march 1st

Mine was BW4, so guessing it is on its way to the dealer right now, might even be there!  Who knows!  Have done my back in at the moment so can't badger them just yet!

Dealer said that as it would be mid February collection, that he wanted to hold onto it tip March 1st so I would get a 14 plate, he also said that he would prefer that as it will be better for him as well when it comes to PX time as it will be worth more, maybe to me as well?

Anyway, its a Candy White vRS Diesel DSG Estate, Anthracite Wheels, Red Stitching, Black Pack, Variable Boot Floor, Colour Maxidot, Standard Cruise Control, Sunset Glass, Amundsen, Canton, Heated Seats.

Collecting from dealer at Midnight on March 1st, then going for a night time drive!!!!  Much to wifes amazement and calling me sad!  :giggle:  :giggle:  :giggle:  :giggle:  :giggle:

Ensure you check it the day beforehand for paint and fit defects if arranging a midnight collection. Mine will be collected during the daytime :sun:.

I think she might be right but, it'd be even sader to go the sfternoon before to check the paintwork over as well.

1.6tdi elegance estate with ipod, park assist in race blue due 3rd march ish. Build week 7 supposadly confirmed but trusting the dealer has proved a bad desicion on time scales...... Wish I'd gone for the 2.0 tdi but was just to much cash. Still from my 2004 1.8 focus I should hopefully notice better fuel economey!!

Tell them you're on holiday/business trip and not back until 1st March. You can't collect if you're not here and you can't be expected not to go away in case your car arrives that week!

Dont panic, once it arrives at the dealer I will be checking it over thoroughly, then once its has been PDI'd etc it will also be checked over so when the night time comes for collection it will be perfect!  The dealer knows I am really picky, so they daren't do anything to it without my say so! :-)

Decided if the car arrives in the next week so and is available shortly afterwards that i'll probably just take it on a 63 plate.

Waiting a few days until March 1st is a no brainer but if were talking an extra week or two really cant see much point waiting just to get a new plate that will be old hat again in a few months.

The longer I hold onto my own car the more chance of something happening to it, frankly just want shot of it. Same can be said for the new car, could get dinked or scraped if its sat around at the dealers for too long (bet some havent considered that).

Also got really strong money for my current car which is a late Jan reg'd 62 plate, being a 14 plate will make hardly any difference to residuals its more about actual reg year, model year (maybe), mileage, condition and history. A 2014 63 will be worth nigh on the same as a 2014 14.

Update: letter from dealer this morning confirming new registration on 63 plate, called dealer and said I want a 14, "ooh, SUK might not like that", no worries, will call SUK who informed me a couple of weeks back that they'd have "no problem" with 1st March; phoned SUK who very quickly traced my call on their system and confirmed comment so gave me a 'case number' to quote to dealer. Car still at Grimsby so can't see what all the cloak n'dagger stuff is all about! :wonder:
