I ended up with a boot load of branded goodies, from the 'cupboard' t-shirts, boot storage bags, red boot nets, mud flaps all round, boot liner, blows black tailgate protector, full tank of fuel, Autoglym life shine box of goodies for me to apply myself, Skoda lanyards plus the 8foot tall and 16 foot wide double sided Octavia vRS estate showroom poster/room divider thing! Plus flowers for my wife, overall, my dealer has been excellent, shame the Skoda side for sales is closing soon, but remaining active for Skoda service, parts and warranty purposes.

Was on the road at 0001 this morning in it.

And I love my car!

It was a long wait but worth it.

I only got a quarter tank of fuel but, I got 8.65% off Q4-2013 prices in the first place so, I'm more than happy.

I got no photos yet, to busy driving and smiling, I'll tryto get some photos soon but, I ain't promising.

Really glad for all who got theirs today heck, even the sun came out!

Collected mine at 4pm...  stunning drive home...  so pleased with it... 1/4 tank of diesel, also got the media holder thrown in..saves me £20 ! Only thing found wrong on collection..broken number plate cap...  they're going to fix and 1000 mile check.

Oh I got a media holder too, Hmmmmm Samsung Note don't really fit in it though, didn't get my Sat Nav card so, its on back order which ain't great but, it is what it is, I'll get one when it comes in and I don't care cause I'm still smiling.

The media holder will come with our Octavia too. We tested it on a demo using my Nexus 5 and the wife's iPhone 5S..unfortunately it looks as its designed for phones of Max 4-4.2" and that would make it almost unusable..unless you've got an old phone or an iPhone ;-)

When I jam my phone in the media holder it tries to switch it off !!  Seems when it was designed no phones were as big as they are now..

Colbournes in Guildford.

I test drove at Colbournes, only problem was all the drible I left in the car from looking at the Harley's next door.  Nice people & showroom just couldn't get the discount I wanted outta them.

Picked up my car yesterday. First impressions are that it is a massive improvement on my Mk11 1.6MPI Octy. The overall build quality of the interior is a step change difference. I have already achieved over 51MPG so hoping this will improve further as it is the main reason for moving away from the 1.6MPI which on short runs was as greedy as a sports car but without the fun.

 

Please find attached a photo taken at the dealers, he had it displayed by the entrance to the showroom and it looked stunning with the sun shining on it ( what's the chances of that on a March morning in Yorkshire)

 

I now need to talk the wife round to going on a touring holiday to Germany to give it a good run out.

 

 

Very nice. It has more of a greeny blue tinge to it than normal - must just be the light.
