Hello :)

Featured Replies

Afternoon, I'm James and currently drive a 6k Polo saloon! (a 6n polo with a boot). Being a 1.6 engine with only 75bhp is it absolutely awful on fuel and insanely slow, with high insurance and high tax so need a change after nearly three years as it seems to be costing me a fortune.

Looked at a few diesels; Ibiza sport 130, Golf GT tdi's etc but finally came across the Skoda Fabia VRS's.

I still currently don't actually own one, but am on the look out for one. I have about £2500 cash plus my old car so maybe about £3000 to spend.

I have a few questions, which more than likely have been asked a thousand times but can't seem to find many direct answers. Within my price range, the majority of VRS's have over 120k miles (doesn't worry me as I've come to realise they're used heavily on motorways and so on).

I've come across one in particular, an 04 VRS with 143k on the clock, few months tax and MOT for a price of £2490. Also comes with service history and recent repairs such as starter motor. If I was to go look at this, what things in particular should I be looking out for with consideration to the mileage?

Sorry for the long introduction, but thanks in advance!
