Road vibration

Featured Replies

Hi first post new to forum been reading the posts for years but never got around to making an account as my last skoda was 100% reliable (03 elegance tdi) my problem is i recently bought a 2011 octavia 1.4 tsi with 28k on clock a skoda approved used car first week i had the car i smelt burning which turned out to be the back brakes as the hand brake lever had failed and jammed on the brakes had that problem done under warranty which is good main problem is i can feel road vibration though the armrest and when i hit the right bumps (worcester roads are dire) in the road the arm rest console hits the seat belt base point which you can feel up your leg just wonder if anyone else has had or has this issue or if this is normal? thanks in advance

I had a 1.4tsi and never had this happen so sounds like a trip back to the dealer is in order. Which dealer did you get it from?

Listers at Coventry but got it booked in at startins near Worcester on the 10th  new car warranty runs out in early march so need to get to the bottom of it fairly pronto

probably saw tooth wear on the rear tyres.  just a guess.
