fog lights part of the CANBUS system?

Featured Replies

Wanting to put LED bulbs in my fog lights on my pre FL VRS, do i need CANBUS compatible bulbs? Thanks in advance

The fog lights have nothing to do with the multiplexing (Canbus) system, however the BCM carries out a check on fog light bulbs and if you replace them with LED's it will show a blown bulb.

So you need either:

1) LED bulbs with built in resistors (mistakenly called Canbus compatible and often still won't work on octy)

2) Std LED bulbs and add-on in line resistors wired in parallel, around 14ohm per side is enough to satisfy the module

If you visit mylitco on ebay their canbus bulbs are pretty good, i bought all my leds from them and all have worked without any warnings.

You need h1bulbs btw
