Columbus gives wrong position...

Featured Replies

Fitted a Columbus in my wife's Yeti. Assume it previously had one (bought s/h ten days ago from dealer) as when I removed the Bolero, I found GPS lead already in and dangling. Also VCDS recognised it, including nav in multi display.

BUT, Columbus map and nav is consistently showing about 100 metres out of position -South and East. Didn't know this was possible. As we live near a rail line, it tries to start routes (from home) on the other side of the rail - which is over a mile by road. And when driving spends a lot of its time saying 'Off Road' when I am clearly on one.

Anyone else? Any ideas? Is there an offset adjustment?

I presume you've changed to the proper Sat Nav aerial, which I understand is different?

EDIT. Confirmed, see the latest posts in this thread:

Haven't there been threads in the past about incorrect positioning that needed an up-date from a dealer?
