odd one... biggest intercoolers people are running?

Featured Replies

Think you have to take the slam panel off to get to the bracket and can move the drivers side some how. Never looked in to it just what I have read before from people fitting other coolers.

  • Realise this. The more pipework. The more air needed to fill and more lag. Just trying to work out if I can fit this cooler into the space and how to best run pipes before I go spending any money

  • My old man fabed a bracket up for me, you can see the two large torx screws it uses and it also fixes to the bumper support aswell.

  • You probably wouldn't notice the lag as said. The other way to do it is to run a single pass cooler and passat inlet manifold to reduce the pipework.

Cheers. Ill look into it :)

Well mini check list.

intercooler yes

couplers yes

will power yes

Pipework... a few bits (60mm to 51mm reducer 90 degrees and a meter of 51mm ally Pipe)

Gonna get the crash bumper tpok off and altwr it during the week. Then weekend I can hopefully mount the cooler and start on pipework from turbo to cooler. Then im gonna focus on the top pipes next week

Dependent on if my pipe bender will work on ally piping, ill either one piece the top pipe and get a map boss welded on or if the bending dont go to plan. Ill have to buy multiple pieced haha

funds ...
