Hi from Lincoln

Hi

Last Sunday Mrs T and I were heading to the local Ford garage to test drive a new Fiesta Ecoboost. We had seen a couple of Fabias on Autotrader and decided to go and have a look at them before going on to the Ford garage. To cut a long story short, we never got to the Ford garage but test drove 2 Skoda Fabia VRS' and put down a deposit on one that afternoon.

The car is to replace Mrs T's Ford Ka for her daily commute; hard to believe that the Fabia is less to insure, more economical and less RFL than the 1.3 litre 69 bhp Ka!  Although it's less powerful than my Mondeo it is half the size so is quicker and will no doubt prove more economical.

Since we bought it I've been looking at various Skoda forums and doing a bit of research; is my car one of the limited edition S2000 models that came with the white roof, white wheels and WRC stickers? It certainly has had the sticker set on it at some point in the past and still has them on the front spoiler; how can I find out?

Should I be overly worried about the oil consumption? I plan to check it every week and top up as required, but is it really a problem? Or just an issue with a few cars?

Hopefully I can prise the keys away from Mrs T on a regular basis to enjoy what I think is a great looking and fun car.

Hi and welcome aboard.

Great choice

Welcome

Another happy Hortons customer, hopefully - did they say why it had been de-stickered, just out of interest?

Hi there.

Another Horton patron myself. I was told by a member of staff that that particular car has had a remap and although I may be wrong, you'll need to verify that for insurance purposes.

I assume that is the car that used to live in Branston as there aren't many of them about.

I saw it quite often, I believe they've replaced it with a Citigo as that now has the same plate this Fabia used to have.

Welcome from another Lincolnian :)

Hi all. Yes I am a Happy Horton's customer; excellent service from them. No idea why the car was de-stickered although having seen a picture of the original S2000 I would have taken them off! No idea if it has been re-mapped; no mention of it by the salesman; how could I tell?
