Hello guys my good ladies elegance has had a sudden loss of radio signal.

I bought a powered amplifier thing like what's available at halfords as it's an after market unit but it made no difference.

I checked the voltage coming out of the blue lead on the unit and it measures 11v.

However there is absolutely nothing coming out the top of the aerial amplifier thing. is there supposed to be before I go and buy another.

No voltage comes out of the Halfords aerial amp thing, as this is the aerial amplifier which bypasses the cars one. If you still have poor reception, you need to replace the aerial base on the car as water has most likely damaged the insides.

Ahh okay, so it amplifies the single coming into the aerial, I for some reason thought it was powering something on the aerial up stream.
