Could not believe the amount of Octy taxis I saw over the weekend when I went "back home".

My dad wasn't kidding when he groaned at me for getting a silver Octavia. "All the taxis round here are those and they're mostly silver!"

At one point I saw FOUR silver Octy cabs whilst just waiting to get onto a roundabout!!

I got "hailed" once and got a wave from a cabbie travelling in the opposite direction!

There were a few Superbs doing the rounds, too.

It amused me to no end - but then I am easily pleased

No. Ex native.

This was in Seaton Deleval - Panrix was on fumes and I got him to the nearest Shell garage - but it must be the only Shell garage in the UK that didn't have OptiMax. OptiOnal you might call it. Much mumbling and grumbling later he left with a tank of unleaded.

The question is...

was his car any slower ???

Didn't look like it when he passed me on the A69 :eek: Was that 120 km/h or was I reading the wrong part of the speedo?

Perhaps it just trimmed that extra 2.8bhp off the top? ;)
