Thinking of a citigo for the wife

Featured Replies

Hi as the title suggests I'm looking at a new citigo to replace my wifes 03 plate mini one, I was just casually looking before xmas and thought the offer was 0% finance and free servicing for 3 years, however when I went into dealers this week they had 0% and 3 year warranty, but 3 years servicing was adding £549 to the package.

Ideally I want a 5 door elegance in red with sunset glass, has anyone used broadspeed or carwow to buy these or are you just going to dealers?

That's correct I think. The example on the Skoda website (with a £2601 deposit) is a 5dr SE at £69pm for just the car, £85pm inc basic servicing, £89 for servicing+maintenance and £95 servicing+maintenance+tyres. Basically, you do pay for the servicing whatever level you go for.

The offer has changed, I ordered my Citigo in september and mine is 0% with 3 year warranty and servicing. When I collected the car a month ago I noticed they'd dropped the free servicing.

£549 or £16 per month for servicing is a bit steep how much is it for an interim service on these?, VW offer is £249 for 3 years servicing on the up.

Auric, I'm not letting her go for just a citigo, if its an exchange for the wife its got to be the new Octavia vRS

£16pm is high for what it is. If I had payed for servicing on my Mii, it would be just over £10pm for the same thing and as said above, VW have/had deals on servicing almost constantly for free or £199/£249.

I think it comes down to a simple choice: 0% APR or discount/extras/servicing. You're doing well if you get both!

You'll certainly notice the upping in build quality from the mini. A friend of mine has a Cooper S and every bit of trim seems to squeak and be really flimsy, not to mention a bit gimmicky on the inside. Citigo is austere perhaps, but very well screwed together.
