Airbag light on dash - error 65535 & 00532 - fauly ECU Module

Featured Replies

Hi,

I recently did a load of work on my sons X Reg Fabia 1.4 - front lower arms and rear bushes, anti roll bar links, dog-bone bush, drilled and re-threaded the callipers to fit new slider pins. Loads of fun.

Then drove it out of the garage and the airbag light came on. I used a VGATE VS450 handheld scanner and it returned codes 65535 & 00532 airbag module fault & supply voltage low. But it wouldn't clear the codes.

I also ended up removing the airbag ECU, it was a pain to remove tucked away under the heater fan. MAKE SURE YOU DISCONNECT THE BATTERY before removing it.

I sent the ECU to www.ecu-doctor.co.uk who cleared the fault and returned it, again a fantastic service, paid £36 by PayPal.

Refitted the airbag ecu, the light came on for 4 seconds to check it was working then went out, woohoo.

Took the car for an mot, passed no problems.

Hope this is of some use to people having similar issues.

Thanks, Matthew
