Discounts good deals etc etc

Featured Replies

Hi all, just curious who has managed to negotiate and intresting deals/discounts???

If so how much hard work was it???

Im 2 and bit through a 5 year deal on my Monte (which is 3 years old), i would like to upgrade to a spaceback if you deal suits my wallet (dont want to pay more than £200), if im being realistic the deposit is going to minimal, i dont have much in cash so it basically going to be the difference between the tade in and settlement figure (again due to milage im not expect a great figure lol)

All in all im not expecting to be able to get the right deal, but was looking for some ideas/advice to give it a good go.

Worst case for me is keeping the Monte Carlo which to be honest isnt the end of world as i have enjoyed. So im more than happy to wait if i cant get what i want basically.

0% finance deal is on at the moment which potentially saves you thousands if you are paying by finance..... I couldn't get any money off the RRP but I got about a grand over the book on my PX and cost optional extra with 0%. I was told this was because my car was a limited edition so you may do better on a Spaceback...

Yes the 0% finance is very appealing which was i was looking, ive seen some internet sites offering around 2k discount on the spec im after.

I think ive settled on the spec as being ideally

A Spaceback SE with Sport pack (which gives you style pack 17in wheels sports seats and pedals)

Plus Amundsden and climate control.

Now if need be i could give the sat nav and climate control at a push. But rather not as id kind of be losing spec on my Monte.

Yeah I saw some of those online brokers prices. I'd urge you to do some maths if your gonna go for one of those as you wont be able to get the 0% finance thus what looks like a cheaper price actually works out more each month.

I used one of the online APR calculators and it worked ot more for me. Also I'm not sure what kind of PX price you will get using one of the online companies. I guessing a heavily discounted RRP will mean book price for your PX but I may be wrong.

Will be interesting to find out....

I think you can because the broker just puts you in touch with a normal Skoda dealer willing to sell at that price.

Yeah CarWOW does that but not all of them do. I had a check and reductions not brilliant with finance but still available...

Il do my research carefully before i make any choice tbh jus curious as to peoples thoughts/experiences.

If you go as far as getting a written quote that you're happy with from a dealer then get in touch with Lee on here (username Preston Motors) as they say they aim to beat any written quotation.

I got a substantial discount on mine because it was a pre-spec change SE (my SE doesn't have fogs, climate control or electric rear windows) on a pre-reg.

I went the pre-reg route too, mine is a basic S trim but worked out at just over 30% off list price. Car came with 44 miles on the clock and had only been registered for a couple of weeks before I took it. I had a great experience with the guys at Garland Motors in Aldershot.
