Common sense yes, but some people are obviously lacking it, and will be the ones who have, or will, experience that oversteer-oh gaawwdd-I've got it-no I haven't-yes I haaaaave-whoops moment jus prior to having that moment that insurers love.....

Right ... I need to replace the O/S/R tyre which is currently a Bridgestone Turanza ER300, the best fitted price I can get is £95.86, the N/S/R tyre still has a good tread on it.

I'm wondering if it is better to just replace the tyre with the same or replace the full axis with a pair of Uniroyal Rainsport 3's which I can both fitted for £150 ?

Good price for Uniroyal Rain Sport 3's! I know that Camskill are doing them for circa £64 delivered, so that's a good deal you have there.

With regards to fitting tyres across an axle, that's only essential on a 4wd. However, being anal about such things, I always replace both tyres on an axle, and keep that n/s/r tyre as a spare.

Just a personal preference of course.

Same axel tyres only really matters when you are changing sizes.

Or if you have 4wd / 4motion
