TT comps colour suggestion for Silver Fabia?

Featured Replies

I am debating what colour to do my wheels when they get refurbed. The wheels will be the daily / show wheels so I want something I can happily run 24/7 which looks spot on! At first I was going to go for a glossy jet black with some kind of sparkley finish or similar, then wondered about a dark anthracite.

If anyone can post photos of TT Comps on a silver fabia, or a silver VAG car of any kind I guess - to sway me one way or the other.

There's a pic of a silver one floating around with dark wheels in it. It is Kenny's car? I know he's reversing out into the street and it looks really good!

I bought some for mine then sold them to Dav-VRS, I regretted it after he fitted him, they were very heavy though.

Weirdly after doing some research the TT comps being forged are actually not that heavy compared to some wheels.

I had some these in Anthracite - they looked terrible on a non lowered car!

Also they were very heavy. My current Team Dynamics pro race 3's are about half the weight!

9.75kg each according to my source, but I had better weigh one of the rims I have to ensure its the same wheel.  To put in to perspective the same wheel cast is over 13kg.

Dp ...

I had a set once in Satin Black. This is about the best picture I have of them on a track day with grotty weather

Here they are on the Roomster in c.2010 BC (before coilovers) :giggle:

Get them polished! :)

I love that finish on the comps. These with some of the newer Skoda centre caps could look very nice indeed!

However, I do like a light grey in them.

Candy red !!

Silver, Mirror or Anthracite... Personally, i'm not a fan of black wheels on a silver car.

I'm liking the dark anthracite - I have the same black roof too, and likely to wrap the bonnet black too soon.
