The Audi version sounds good too:

"Proving that hybrid power never has to be a compromise, the TT Offroad Concept packs a 292 horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder under the hood. The combustion engine is assisted by two electric motors (rated at 40 kW at the front and 85 kW at the rear) to provide a total system output of 408 horsepower and nearly 480 pound-feet of torque. With all-wheel drive, the concept hits 60 mph in 5.2 seconds and tops out at 155 mph - while returning a provisional fuel efficiency of 123 miles per gallon equivalent."

So yes that drivetrain in Yeti II thanks VAG!

123 miles per gallon? that's a typo surely?

It's because the MPG figures are worked out over a set route/distance.

So the more electric only range you have the more amazing the emmissions and calculated mpg look.

Like the Ampera which has a range of about 32 miles on electric and then does about 44mpg.

It's offical MPG figure is around 158mpg.

ah yes that makes sense, your miles per gallon would be infinity if the measured mile was solely by electric propulsion, quite sneaky the way they market some of these products really, the real world figures are skirted around in favour of a headline grabbing number

That's a US website and thus those are US mile to the gallon figures (their gallons are not the same size as ours) So the UK figures are:

The concept is powered by a 402bhp hybrid drivetrain, which consists of a 288bhp 2.0-litre TFSI engine, and a 40kw electric motor. The Offroad concept is able to run in electric only mode for a maximum of 31 miles, which helps the car achieve its 148mpg figure. Performance is expectedly brisk, with 0-62mph coming up in 5.2secs, going on to a limited top speed of 155mph.

The Porsche Panamera hybrid claims something ludicrous like 100mpg because it can do a big chunk of the standard test in electric only mode.
