Bolero aux input Coding

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Swapped my bolero into my brothers vrs as i am picking up a blackline on tue after owning my 07 pd170 for 6 years and 112,000 fault free miles.

I put up with this issue but i just wondered how i can get the bolero to accept the aux input under the armrest.

My stream worked fine and to be fair i never needed it with the bolero but it would be nice to set it up for him all working 100%.  When you select media the AUX is grayed out.  This isn't an option in the actual stereo to enable so it must be coded somewhere.

The bolero was from a 2012 yeti i think so it may have had mdi and not standard aux so wasn't coded.

Anyone know what option i would need to select in vcds to enable?

Thanks in advance.

Isn't AUX greyed out in the media list unless a device is actually plugged into the AUX socket?

From recollection, there was an option to enable or disable it within the menus which had to be done before it was able to be selected.

Failing that, are the input pins the same as it may only be available if it's actually (correctly) connected?

Hi,

I tried enabling it in the menu but the options list where the aux enabled icon should be isn't on there.  Another member on here a while back showed me exactly where the option was but on my bolero it just isn't displayed.  This is what made me think i needed to code it or something.

Also i tried plugging a device into the aux port and still it was greyed out.  Bit Weird.  Worked fine when the stream went back in.

The pin outs changed on the quadlock at some point, so the aux-in and CD changer grounding connections changed. When I retrofitted a columbus for a member on here some years ago now I had to swap the ground pins in the quadlock. All the info was sadly on the now defunct octavia-vrs.com website, I cannot find the details on my computer either.
