The first one on the basis it's got a higher GSM & has the same pile both sides.

If your leaning towards the second one becasue of price. asda do the same one for £3. I've got three of the asda ones and they are great.

Yup, I have some of the Asda ones, they aren't the biggest, but they dry well, wash well (mine may have gotten better with more washing) and if you cut off the label are safe as houses.  I have had my Asda drying towels as cheap as £1.50, so who cares if you have to use 1,2 or 3 to do the job.

 

Edit: the Asda ones are similar but Orange, the blue ones I have seen in most detailing stores online

Asda again for me. I think I have 5 in total now. I use two to dry my car thou, but who cares when they are only £3 a time. 

 

I have 3 orange and 2 green from asda. 

They come in Green :o

I bought a micro fibre drying towel in b&q of all places, that was £3 as well.

He's now selling purple and white monster towels, which I highly recommend.

 

Not sure about white.... but might try the purple next time i order...  :happy:

    I use a wooly beast to get the majority off then switch to the exra large kent ones to finish off as they are easier to work with and get into the awkward corners, door jams and under the bonnet better.This is getting to be a bit too OCD I think I need some therapy

    Are the purple monsters on the site

    Not sure that these are the same towels as CYC, but are interesting.

    Maybe they aren't mark, I just assumed by the name. The ones I bought did come from CYC.

    Have been looking for towels but really don't know what to buy. Just one that is big and is good value for money. The Ishine one looks good, what is recommended besides the woolly mammoth? Or do I just fork out the extra :)

    As a drying towel I would say pay the extra and get the CG Woolley mammoth.

    You won't be disappointed.

    Are these from Simon at iShine? or the Purple Monster from CYC?

    The bigger they are...the more difficult they are to wring out

    I use a small spin dryer...works well and so size is never a problem

    I cant imagine using a very large drying towel without one

    I don't actually `wring out`, Chris.

    I wipe down panel by panel with a `Wholly Mammoth` followed by a final dry with a `Monster Guzzler`

    I find then that I can get the car dried in about 10 mins and prevent the dreaded water spots from forming.

    OK, yep, I have a set of the Purple Monsters and couldn't agree more, they are just a cut above. 

     

    Might even have recommended these to Carl ;)

     

     

     I am curious about the iShine 1,000,000 GSM towel too though.
