I had an issue with the glovebox door squeaking against the far left underside of the dash.  Wiring loom tape concealed in the 'shut' of the glovebox door stopped the problem.  I noticed this winter the creaking has come back, certainly temperature related.  Oddly when driving along and I open the glovebox and let it hang open the noise stops!?  Checked all the tape was intact but haven't had time to get back to it.  Could be the vent and trim but seems odd when the glovebox is opened the noise stops, possibly re-distribution of weight when the door opens is enough to stop squeaking elsewhere...?

get a passenger to push hard around the vent while you drive.
