Tow bar fitting?

Featured Replies

We are getting rid of our CRV today and replacing it with a Yeti.

This means my Superb will need a tow bar for the caravan.

The caravan has a bar type stabiliser which I would like to keep as it saves changing the whole system on the van itself.

What ramifications are there in having the rear sensors?  I have used towsure in the past who have been excellent but any advice or links from people who have done this would be much appreciated.

P.S. The Yeti is a 1.2 TSI as we wanted a smaller 2nd car! :)

here they are..hopefully

My stabiliser bar has a slightly different fitting but I think that may be exactly what I am after!  Thank you very much indeed.

So that is a Witter detachable flange type?  My head is spinning with all the options but with the Superb being a taxi it would be handy not to have a ball there permanently as I will skelp my  shin as will customers which is not so good! :)

your existing stabiliser bracket will fit onto this one via the 2 bolts (as it is currently)

as far as reversing sensors is concerned..mine hasn't been recoded to tell the car its got a tow bar..just as easy to disable the buzzer on the screen as & when you reverse with the caravan on

I will treat myself to a new plate as the one on the CRV is pretty manky and very large.

Thanks for your help, they seem to be about £200 online, then I would need another tenner or so for the single electrics.  Am waiting on PF Jones giving fully fitted quotation or may buy the bits and get a local garage to fit it, either way it is the ideal solution so again, many thanks from my heart and mostly my shins! :)
