Just bought a Superb TDI 170 Elegance

Featured Replies

Just thought I would search out a forum. Its funny really as I have a Mazda RX7 and have long been into fast cars so in many ways this is the most sensible forum I have joined but it seems very informative.

Just bought a Superb TDI 170 Elegance, black with Beige leather. It's a beautiful car with a great spec. It has Heated Electric Leather seats, Cruise Control, Sat Nav, Xenons or in other words everything! It came about as I have an 8 month old and my beloved Golf GTI was just too small to cope with my wife's long legs behind me whilst sitting in the back with my daughter and the boot was always full.

Likes: the space, spec, economy, steering weight and ride, quality of some materials, front end and side profile looks.

Don't Like: Sloppy gear box (manual), steering wheel( my previous Audi one was much better), quality of some materials, back end looks.

Anyway it's an interesting car and I'll keep on posting about my journey with it. I have a Scotland trip very soon so will get to appreciate it a whole lot more.

Looks lovely mate. Loads of leg space in the back. I'd worry about the carpet colour personally.

Hi and welcome aboard.

I'd worry about the carpet colour personally.

Nah, it's fine - just keep dead bodies in the boot.

My interior's the same colour.  Carpet comes up fine.  My Dad's the worst offender - he could find wet mud in a sterile environment to collect in the ferrule of his walking stick and then grind into my Superb's carpet  :wonder:

Looks nice AM.

Gaz

nice car we were looking for the cream interior but bought L&K in the end. Don't forget to visit the Superb 2 section.

So had it a week and already got an issue. I had 22 faults come up on the display. It all seemed light related and the indicators started flashing very quickly. Faults were listed as things like Dip beam, rear left brake, rear right brake, left indicator etc. seemed really odd so I'm assuming it's either a sensor fault or wiring loom.

Can you help guys as I'm in love with the car but I'm not at all happy with the fault!

Ok so my fault seems to be a bulb failure yet I still have 22 faults come up. Help!!!

Best take it back to the dealer and get them to sort it free of charge, going after a week isnt right! Could be an earth issue maybe if its taking out that many bulbs/lights?
