I am looking to buy cupholders as the ones from this post. Do you have any hints?

 

 

I think they're cup holders from a Lupo, so you can get them from TPS or VW in the UK. If you've got the standard head unit you can also buy a surround for the head unit from Skoda.

£35 from VW in Swindon, although a lad who worked for a dealer in Middlesbrough said he could order them for £30. 

It's a fair price. I think I will order the under the left seat storage box also. 

I have these in mine.


They're not perfect, as they don't fit exactly. I had to make sure mine didn't slip down by putting a bit of cardboard between the cupholders and the stereo.


Not to mention my stereo is now lower down in the lower slot. It's very close to me punching the cupholders as it is. This is a mk1 Octavia... so yours would be different. The cupholders also require mods to fit in an Octy, but I believe less so to fit a Fabia.

I'd also not put anything too heavy in them.

And all this madness because the cupholders from the glovebox lid are too akward to be used.  :wonder:  What were they thinking when they designed it ?

A fair bit cheaper, though not sure how handy it would be for larger/taller beverages!

Hey ! This was very helpful. I will contact my local dealer and just provide him the part numbers. Much easier for me, and if they are genuine Skoda, I think they will fit without problems. 

I e-mailed this weekend both Skoda and VW dealers from where I live. They both gave me about the same offer for the parts (the dash one is about 86 pounds and the one for the backseats -center console-is 25 pounds).

I also asked my dad about this and he raised a new problem. I have the 1.4MPI engine with 8valves. He told me that these items were designed to fit the interior for the 1.4 16valve or vRS models. Do you think that even if I will order the original parts, I will have fitting problems? Are there are noticeable differences between my interior and the 1.4 16v or vRS models?
