Does anyone know of any spoilers that will fit to the roof? Like this:

...but trying to stick it to glass was ridiculous. It simply wouldn't go on, even with a good helping of Tiger Seal. That's why I'm looking for one to fit to the roof - maybe a Golf spoiler of something?

 

 

Just wondering if anyone else has done the same

 

 

(P.S. I know it's not everyone's cup of tea, but those who follow my project will know it's all about being extreme )

I'll be a dumbass and ask, would that off an estate be modifiable to fit    ?

maybe with some sort attachment to the roof rail mounting points  :wonder: ?

I didn't think of that. It's possible, but it might be a little too curved. I'll have to find some decent pictures of one.

Did you use some degreaser and de waxer. Tiger seal is normally great. Also think you can get a window adhesive compound.

There is a upper window spoiler available for the octy, but it's quite discrete and is flat

Yup, gave it a good cleaning and plenty of Tiger. I think it was more down to the angle and weight - the spoiler is pretty damn heavy considering it's size and having to attach it to the window (around 45° give or take) it just wasn't having it. I was stood there holding it against the window for a good 30 mins... let go and it just fell backwards. It's just a ridiculous task.

Very good suggestion - I'll have to find out the dimensions. The top is quite flat so I can add bits to it as well. Cheers mate

Yeah I've seen that one - unfortunately it's too flat to be as extreme as I'd like.
