What it the boot cargo net called?

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

On my audi I have a rolled sprung net that pulls up from the top/back of the rear seats and attaches to the roof to provide a barrier from things flying out of the boot when stacked high...

I've seen this on the Otcy3 Combi but don't seem to be able to spec it on my order. I've been on the phone to Skoda UK this morning and they were useless not knowing.

Does anyone know how to get this option and/or anyone know what it is called to help me ask Skoda?

cheers

James

It's a factory option. So long as you don't get your car in the UK. I'm afraid it's not available for us.

The factory code for the net partition is 3CX. It's only factory fitted, i.e. not in the accessories catalogues. It's a 160€ option over here.

Isn't this the flexible version of what used to be called a "Dog Guard"?

I think i'd prefer something a bit more solid to prevent objects flying forwards..

Yes, it is.

The more solid, metal partition doesn't have to be factory fitted. Part no 5E9 071 159.

As per my local dealer the seperating net cannot be fitted retro, the dog guard is just a normal extra that you can always buy.
