superb estate

Featured Replies

just been for a test drive in the superb estate with a view to buying one, just wondering what sort of problems I might expect if any. ta

I ran a 170 Elegance estate for 4 years the only thing that went wrong was the DPF sensor in year 4 of ownership (58k miles covered), then I ran a 140 SE hatch for a year nothing went wrong at all (24k miles covered) no rattles squeaks or funny noises absolutely brilliant long distance cruisers great cars enjoy.

Think the bulk of problems on here are generally one offs or really very minor issues usually easily fixed.

Our girl is one year old this week and nothing at all, no rattle, squeak, chirp, nothing (other than a suspect scratch I found on the bonnet yesterday, but it'll be gone by afternoon tomorrow).

....and another, just 3 years old, 31k and sound as a pound. Hope this is not tempting fate !!

I had a drive on an elegance with 170 dsg , & I'm intending to go for a lowly S with 140 . I wasn't fussed on the hard seats and the start stop thingy was a bit disconcerting as I was waiting on a hill junction, put my foot on the brake and the engine cut out so when I tried to pull off it frantically tried to start itself whilst rolling backwards much to the anxiety of the bloke behind lol, I hadn't driven an auto since my carlton days so didn't use handbrake.I want a manual anyway

I'm collecting my second Elegance estate next week. I did 107,000 in the last one over three years. I haven't even bothered looking at anything else. Phoned the dealer, slapped a £1k deposit on a candy white Elegance 170, go and collect on Wednesday.

Well done sir!

Best of luck with it  ...

Cheers

My brother is having my current Superb so I know it is going to a good home.
