What are the best mods that you can do to a vrs for free?

Clean her?

Maybe dig out and clean your intercooler? unless youve got a frontmount.

EGR clean.

boost track clean.

 

egr clean and refit.

 

all returns responsiveness and smoothness.

 

also do a service. did mine yest morning and cleaned the filter and omg its smooth again.

 

need to do my egr again as its been a year. also need to change my gearbox oil too. all for next weekend.

Carbon vinyl wrap your grill, take the wheels off and clean the inside dish from all the brake dust? Decat(if you have a welder) clean air filter if running aftermarket :) things like that, polish her? ;£

trying to be a bit more sensible with a 300bhp Fabia, come on Jason stop trying to kid yourself :laugh:

Just took all my wheels off and cleaned the insides today. Makes a hell of a difference. Also split my headlights and sprayed the inserts black. Looks good :)

Yeah but makes the car run better as its letting the engine breath better, So in the long run, as long as you put it back on for say An hour while they do the MOT then all is Dandy! :thumbup:

The standard exhaust is not restrictive until running 220+ bhp. 

 

The best free mod that will make any difference is stripping out weight.

I looked at glass ones, and had the rubber bung once (halfords special, didn't last long.....)  The current one I have a nice tough black plastic which whilst not 100% flush with the glass, is pretty close and looks good.
