Just after a bit of Sympathy

Featured Replies

Last Sunday after an awesome  trackday at Woodbridge in my Westfield  , we were making our way home on the A12.   Approaching a roundabout-----Bang, yes a boost hose has popped in the Audi tow car.

AMD Technik phoned me yesterday and give me the news, £1300+ for a new turbo

OMG !!! so sorry to hear your bad news, hope you got the necessary spondulex to get it mended soon..

Spondulex :giggle: .   I just need lots of overtime, working this Sat & Sun.

Fudge    not the kind of news you want to hear.

I can empathise; spent £1100 on my previous car's gearbox a couple of years ago, only to throw it away a few weeks later.

Hope it gets sorted okay.

Nah,  this one is staying standard.  It's on 100,000miles at the mo,  New turbo and she owes me another 100,000miles.

Popped boost pipe -> New turbo? Does not compute!

It's over boosting due to the vanes sticking and basically worn out. I could get it refurbished but how long will it last?  Rather suffer the hit now and have long time reliability + the Mrs. is hating the walking bit & travelling by bus :giggle: .  I'm alright Jack have the van for work and the Westfield for pleasure.
