Just a quick question recently replaced this on my 04 fabia vrs as the old one was done?its the uprated super pro bush and since I have fitted it it would shake your socks off! I have read about it takes a while but the shaking is crazy u can feel it in your ears lol,anyway has any put a few holes through one does this help? It's driving me crazy can't fault the bush in any other way apart from the crazy vibrations

Good luck putting holes in it, a lot easier to say than do, don't get hurt trying!

Thanks any recommendation on what colour of powerflex as I can see various ones forsale?

I've got the red one. Not seen many put the yellow one on.

Red one for diesels. Yellow one is for petrols

I took my Powerflex one back off. It seemed fine at first but I soon realized it was causing more harshness and vibration than I had realized. I have fitted a new genuine Skoda dogbone and the car is nice and smooth again. Won't be going back to anything else now.

Just put a standard one in. Literally noticed nothing but horrible anti mother in law vibrations. All chat about snappy gear changes and tighter driving is rubbish spouted by those who won't admit they spunked £30 on a bit of pink rubber because it says POWERRR on it.

Why would you fit anything other than a new standard one, it's just an anti-vibration mount, it can't give you more performance, better brakes or better handling by making it stiffer.

 

On a race car it doesn't matter because you just want to be able to shove it down a gear or dump the clutch without the engine trying to jump out of the bonnet.

 

On a road car stiffer anti-vibration mounts equal more vibration, it doesn't make any sense to me.

 

Edit: It can't give you better changes on a Fabia either because it's a CABLE change gearbox, the cables are FLEXIBLE!

The only reason I bought mine was that the engine slopped back and forth when throttling on and off. The Powerflex one did stop that but at the expense of vibration.  I should have just gone for a new standard one but we live and learn. It's sorted now and I'm happy again.

I'm exactly the same. Yes the engine doesn't rock about quite so much. But at what cost!!!

 Really? Maybe it wasn't fitted properly... The vibration from the Powerflex one is barely noticeable.

I hear what you're saying, but, 'the proof is in the pudding' as they say. Call it placebo affect or whatever you want to, I can honestly say that I prefer it over a standard bush as it seems to have firmed things up nicely and many many other people agree.

Mine standard one was perished and always makes sence to go for an uprated bush I guess I was wrong,I think I will just try and upgrade the standard one with some sort of good windscreen sealant and stick the super pro on the bay

If anyone wants a yellow Powerflex bush, you can have the bugger for nowt. Not even done 200 miles.
