Just looked at these, they say genuine !? I've messaged to see if they can give me anymore info ! £200 + fitting £250 maybe ? that's a steal for what would be an unmarked brand new Limited Edition Interior. Someone on here said they seen one on EBay for starting bids of £600 ! This is very appealing if they are genuine. Will also ring the company to see what's what. Just wondering if we done a group buy on these how cheap we could get them, IF and it's a big if, they are 100% genuine, and dependant on fitting costs.

I'm over in Chesterfield Tom and the company that do these are in Loughborough, will ring on the morning to see if they have any in stock and I will go down and inspect these. I also printed a list off of local car trimmers and upholsterers. I will also speak or see a few of those for fitting prices. I for one am very interested and no doubt a few others on here will be. Will post tom after further investigations ! Well done vrs777 for finding these and posting !

They do look good for the money.

Won't this be that they're made from genuine leather rather than they're genuine Octavia covers??

Shame they don't have a fitted pic, its tempting though....

Right I've spoken to the seller regarding these limited edition leather seat covers. They are genuine articles ! The company itself actually manufacture these for Skoda. The limited edition run came to an end and they are allowed to do with these what they want so to speak. They do come with the bolsters but the guy I spoke to can't confirm if they fit an estate so you will have to do your own homework if you have an estate. If I can get a few people interested then he should be able to give a discount. He reckons approx 6 hrs to fit. I will contact a few upholsterers later to find out how much this could cost. Once I know I will post ok

Right spoke to a local car upholsterer in Loughborough literally around the corner from the factory where these were manufactured.he said he knows what's involved and said £200 for a full days work. He cannot do all at the same time but we agreed individuals can contact him to arrange fitting. This is rapidly becoming very interesting ! Maybe worth moving this to a group buy thread. I'm out at the moment will try sorting this out later but feel free to pop your names down if interested ! New leather interior fitted for £400 or less plus some fuel money, sounds good to me !

Were the original Limited Edition seats full leather or did they 'contain some artificial leather' as is the case with the' full leather' option available for the Skoda range now?

I think there will be a lot of interest here, I sold my LE 3 weeks ago and am already missing the leather. My new FL has full leather and equally as comfortable but just doesn't look as good!

Very tempted to click buy it now lol....

I've got a limited edition vrs and those look fake.

Will post pics of my seats up tomorrow to compare but these don't look genuine , they only made these for 500 cars

Right boys and girls,

Ive been watching these for a few weeks hoping someone will give them thumbs up on feedback.

I emailed them when they listed them and they said i can have 2 sets for £380 delivered also they could not confirm they were original OE equipment.

Also i notice that on my car when you drop your back seats you have leather sides that are not part of the main bench that are not displayed in the listing.

car seats are really easy to replace and you dont need to be a upholster if you've got a bit of sense.

take your seats out one by one and disassemble the seat, the old covers unclip and just pull over like a durex same to fit new covers (if they are a proper item there will be no issue  :) ive done plenty of re-trims on cars with damaged driver seats etc in my time.

Octavia rear seats have a fabric cover over the back bench screws which you will have to remove as its glued on and probably will be damaged removing but rest should be straight forward.

estate and hatch are the same seats.

must admit i have been sat here twitching to buy them for a few week..

my research in the company says it as £2 in assets and as a vacancy for someone to dissect car interiors and duplicate to a high standard (im sado )

I've just messaged N7EJA as he has the LE, asking him to help answer any questions about the interior. Also when I spoke to Neil today through eBay he said they have nearly 100 full sets left. A guy from Italy took a dozen and there is quite a bit of interest from Europe. If anyone wants to buy individually then I've obviously got no problem with that, I have merely tried to do a bit leg work and find out how cheap we can get these. Most car upholsterers will probably charge the same rate to fit, I only used a few numbers I found to try and get a rough price. Gathy just seen your post there, it's totally contradictory to what I've been told ! I did ask if I could drive down and inspect them today but was told they weren't stored at the factory and they are elsewhere, internet dispatch only. If they are copies then I highly suspect they will be PVC and not leather, based on the fact that a good leather jacket is a few hundred quid, this is like 5 for £200 !? Things that often seem too good to be true often are, I would hate to buy a set and find out they are ill fitting, baggy and poor quality pass offs ! My interior ain't too bad but if someone who has wrecked seats wants to Invest and try first then I'd be happy to have a go myself. My apologies if I managed to get any of you Moist at the thought of a cheap Leather Interior :)

I found these last night and have also been messaging the guy after very very nearly pressing the Buy it Now button!

My question about them being for a hatch or estate has not been answered but if 'gathy' states they are the same I'll take his word for it.

The only thing holding me back was the lack of rear side bolsters, front center armrest and the fact that I have no rear center armrest, plus my wife said it looks too good to be true!

I've just been onto the following website:

http://www.auto-kit.co.uk/

sourced from their eBay page and they look legit!

TBH very few cars have 100% leather seats, they just use leather on the main wear parts rest is bonded leather and pvc even in £45k Audi's i use everyday at work..

I personally feel with my research and experience  these are certainly not Skoda parts or quality and will certainly not be 100% quality leather as few cars are.

But if your trim is not looking its best and you are willing to accept the new trim might not last as long as a OE trim for that money,eh oh

Their copies could be bad could be great ! you have 14 days to return it.

saying that im probably still gonna get myself a set because 200 notes is peanuts and i can also put my standard trim back on in 4 week when all my 100% leather has fell to bits. :bandit:

They make them to order that's why they don't want to show you them until you've splashed the cash imho.

my car would look ace with that trim in ...grrrhh this is doing my head in,..lol...and i can retrim my car myself grrhh.i could help fellow briskodians by fitting it and telling them my verdict grrhh ...god im talking myself into it again :wall:

I've just sent an email now asking why the rear side bolsters and front center console armrest is not included in the contents, that's a big thing for me otherwise it will all look odd!

I think these seats look gorgeous in the pre-facelift LE they make the car look expensive. Dallen75 it was me who found them for sale on eBay as a complete set nearly 2 years ago now, I just couldn't justify paying the £800+ they sold for in the end, they started at £600 mind!

I bet they reply (if they know what they are selling that is) that they are not included because the VRS trim on a 08 already has the centre console and side bolsters in leather. This was only thing that was specced when Skoda uk asked us to create a run of limited edition trims for them..god im selling them to myself again lol

surely they are fake though cause iirc the limited edition on the seats were stuck on not embroidered ..whos got one, help us out guys?

Gathy I'm in the same boat as you pal, looks like we're both selling ourselves down the river ! I understand the principal in fitting, you just sound like you've had the experience to try it for all of us ;) their website looks authentic in the fact that they surely wouldn't be allowed to associate themselves with car manufacturers if they don't do business with them. Fraudulent claims from such a big company isn't good practice. The guy I spoke to about fitting these said the factory is like Fort Knox . Where are you based gathy ? I just don't know what to make of this now, think a good sleep might help !

for the address of Autokit is some crappy unit on a industrial estate, its no flagship manufacturing plant (wow back to square one again lol)

That flies totally in the face of the earlier comment that they have about 200 sets

Something smells like rat here, it all seems a bit too good to be true

There are pictures of LE seats in my JPS Octavia build thread in Octavia Projects if you want to have a hunt to see what the real thing look like

A lot of small run car parts are produced by small companies on industrial estates. The LE was a very small production run, and as such a large company would not be interested as it would not be competitive for them to make them. Small companies do not have the overheads, so can do small production runs and still make a profit. My mum used to work for a company that made circuit boards that went into Bentley's, Rolls Royce and other top brands. From the outside the factory was a dump, and you'd never know what was made inside, the reception area was a hatch in the wall and to one side was an old visitors book and pen in a glass case which was signed by the queen.

These are Brimma's pictures, you can see the detail of the factory LE seats are the same as the first post. Locate post number 20 in the thread below, there are some more on the next page.
