Well it's highly unlikely these were actually manufactured in the UK.

And Seat Surgeons get their covers made in China don't they?

Right I've done what seems to be a sensable thing and opened a group buy thread. Just taking interested names for now until we get some feedback from gathy and possibly others, to determine what's what and to find out prices. Cheers Davey

Gathy is that a wind up or what man !? Banglabloodydesh ??

I'm in. Where's the sticky?

As it's only a feeler to gauge interest just now, look on group buy section to place your name ! Please be patient with me as I'm only really quite new to freedom but have been using the site for a while. My I.T skills are pap to put it bluntly ! Gimme a hammer and I can fix owt !

not long now > theyve just updated my ebay to dispatched and the tracking says they are currently in Bangladesh WTF ? NOOOOOOOOOOO ive been bum raped lol

They have loads of sets so don't panic buy....they will put the price up chillax till Ive got them and fitted them

Hence i have taken one for the team ! then you can panic buy lol

Martyrdom must only be one step away

Yes. They own the factory in China where their seat covers are produced.

Ooh ooh I want in especially if they include the side bolsters, oh please please lets get 20!

Guess I'm the only one who thinks they look absolutely disgusting.

I know it's been mentioned that cable ties are a suitable option for fitting these, but In the interest of originality, I was wondering if anyone could advise on the correct fixing?

Looking online, I've seen reference to 'hog rings'. Are these what are there as standard?

Thanks

Phil.

Might sound like a dumb question but are these LHD compatible?

Only if you turn them inside out.

But joking aside can't see why not

Nope. ;)

Must say I'm not that taken with them either, plus a downside for me would be the 'limited edition' part of it. Often keep my eye out for the 'full leather' seats from a non 'limited edition' VRS but I think there would be more chance of seeing a pig fly by the window.

look in the technical guides

I did a "how to" dismantle your seat

You need two strong and stable pliers. You can open the rings and reuse them again.

Did this on our Roomster, also a leather conversion with a similar set. (can be found somewhere in the Roomster part of the forum)

The Kits Are Original

Okay, then I will really have te readjust my thinking here. I was 100% sure something that sloppy can not be original. The logo and type stiching looks really-really bad, nothing in that quality would ever leave my workshop.

However, I stand corrected. if they are originals.. go nuts :) I like "the look", but not the quality. I cannot see it as an easy fit to do at home, considering how much connectors etc are in a modern seat. Might want to check if all the kit is included with the set or not. And if not, is it possible to "salvage" it from the baseic seats. Good luck.

pending successful fittment and review by the brave, i have added myself to the group buy, (i miss full wipe clean leather)

Just bought me a New Vrs leather front jumbo box armrest cover in black with white stitching to match these LE covers, £30.89 with free delivery from Superskoda!

Guess I'm the only one who thinks they look absolutely disgusting.

Na I think they look like cheap knock-offs and the only place those seats belong is in the limited edition vrs

Right gents, I have just recieved a phone call from Neil @ AutoKit International. He has confirmed the following;

The Kits Are Original

They produced the kits for Skoda

They are selling them due to end of warranties and no longer need to be kept in stock

The kits do Not come with Bolsters, but, if I can give him approx 20 sales we will recieve a discount.

He is gonna ring me back tomorrow with a price for the matching bolsters.

I will try put something in group buy this evening if you want to put your names down. I can pass names and numbers over to him and we can all ring up and pay individually.

Thanks all, Davey

Morning, anything further on the side bolsters?

I've managed to buy a new leather front armrest cover with white stitching from Superskoda for £30 and I'm currently searching for a rear seat backrest center armrest as I don't have one as standard. Had a few quotes but not seen any pics of them yet from the Breakers.

Might sound like a dumb question but are these LHD compatible?

yep does sound like a dumb question lol .yes they are

Im still waiting...not been shipped yet so obviously they don't have them IMHO..

they are shipping everyday so not optimistic about 24 hour delivery considering it was Saturday i paid

hog/upholstery clips can be bought and the special tool (pliers to fit/crimp them) but as mentioned cable ties are perfectly adequate for the job.although the rear backrest is going to be a BXXXXard because the rear cover of the seat is stuck on with spaceshuttle strenth glue (ive checked and tried to start removal of a corner but quickly give in until the covers arrive)

if you want to see the clips in question etc, lift your rear bench and open the rear cover (its velco) simples.

Still waiting for mine too.....so much for 24 hour delivery :@

Mind you it is Parcel Farce
