Limited Edition Leather -

Can't see someone going to the trouble of making fake ones of these tbh.

The market would be very limited.

As mentioned many limited additions use very very small companies to produce stuff.

We once produced all the car manuals for the Peugeot 106 city electric car. At the time only 7 of us worked at the company, but the print run was only for 250 vehicles worldwide.

Equally, why would they produce 200 extra sets, and why have they only just come on the market bearing in mind the LE is now about 4 years old?

Were the original Limited Edition seats full leather or did they 'contain some artificial leather' as is the case with the' full leather' option available for the Skoda range now?

Bearing in mind I have a L&K which is the top of the line and came with part leather as standard (the centres being lovely, lovely alcantara), it was only the FRONT seats which were proper leather, the rear bench is simulated leather.

Who knows extra material? I don't know but seems odd to produce them as fakes.

Personally I don't love leather but it is far easier to keep clean. The only thing I'd want to do is add heating elements if I was stripping seats.

Someone is buying them anyhow, 2 more gone since I put the post up.

Ive just bought a set....lets just say im taking one for the team :bandit:

Brimma's trim sucked me straight in lol

I will immediately tell you the quality of the product and hopefully get it in on the following weekend.

I will do a full pic breakdown and rebuild.

I was told they had about 100 sets. If these are copies made with genuine leather fronts and faux leather in the back they are prob just as good quality as Skoda put in. This is a British company, made in Britain, that does global work. Call me stupid but does that not count for something ? I'm now trying to convince myself that these will be better quality than anything made in a sweat shop in the Far East. I've had a thought ! If nobody can commit to buy these and try then How about say 4 of us chip in and order a set ? One of us could try to fit and let others know the verdict, if they are useless send them back and refund each other's money through paypal. If they are good quality and fit well then the recipient who was the guinea pig has 75% of the kit paid for and uses there own time and effort to fit. If they are decent then if we can get a few people intested then a discount may apply. If we got the group buy with say10% off £180 ! 3 of us would be £30 worse off than others in the buy, or we could adjust group buy prices to recover the extra £30 expense we incurred for sorting this out ? Sounds complicated but quite easy really..,,, so who wants to be the Guinea PIg ?? I'm fairly confident I would not have the patience and def don't have the time to do this, I would need mine professionally done.

Oops too late Gathy ! :) :)

Haha ! What a guy taking one for the team ! You truly are inspirational :) lets all keep our fingers crossed this is gonna work out nicely. Where are you based gathy ? I'm out on my travels a few places next week would like to see these in the flesh if I could ? Depending on where you are obviously !

Haha well time will tell ! I'm in Newcastle from Tuesday night until Friday next week then back to Aberystwyth. I may be able to do a small detour through Leeds to see them. Let me know when you have the merchandise !

Awesome, fingers crossed they don't sell out for me by the time you've received and inspected urs lol. Either way I still need the original VRS rear side bolsters, rear center armrest (will need whole rear upper seat) and front leather armrest, oh the list grows!

this is my Limited edition no 339/500

Having looked at the ebay listing. maby poor pictures but to me it just looks like cheap replicas . Its not the seats you buying as they would be about £1000. Just looks like very expensive seat covers ?

Fair play they are nice seats though. Even if the covers are replicas, if they look half as good as those, they will be a nice addition.

I think they are genuine if you look at the actual company website based on their trading name of "Auto kit international" it seems they manufacture for everyone.

Almost too cheap though.

Think the Ltd edition interior is the dogs danglies :)

N7EJA Thanks for uploading the extra photos mate will make for a good comparison, Billywhiz I thought I mentioned I did ask about the bolsters as they weren't in the photos, the guy said that they ARE included to me over the phone. How true that is, is anyone's guess ! Just a waiting game now !

If they are anything like the company I work for then we have a policy of keeping full coverage of all spare parts for 5 years from the date of discontinuance.

Since the LE is now just over 4 years old (and out of warranty) Skoda have no need for warranty coverage and will be aware that it will be unlikely someone will walk into a dealer and order a full set at Skoda list prices.

They won't be ordering anymore, and the supplier will want rid too.

The vRS LE is a standard vRS imported by Skoda into the UK where the seats were upgraded by a company in the UK.

The reason the central armrest and rear seat bolsters aren't included in the set is because these are already (faux) leather in the standard vRS.

That's exactly what they are, expensive seat covers. Very nice seat covers which when fitted professionally result in a fab interior.

To create an LE Skoda UK import a standard grey vRS into the UK. The standard vRS seats are then recovered with these covers, some aftermarket alloys added and a boot badge stuck-on.

If I was a betting man then I'd say that they are genuine, and for the reaons above are now surplus to requirements due to the age of the LE and being sold off either by the original supplier or a trader that bought them off the original suppier in bulk.

The warranty time period mentioned above makes perfect sense to me.

All seat trims are covers in effect.

Watched some programme a while back on how things are made and all the car seats were being trimmed with a glorified seat cover.

These look pucker to me if I did not have such a new interior I would plump for them :)

They trade as:

Looks genuine to me

I'm waiting on a reply myself Dallen75 about the side bolsters even though I have read in your post that they are included, I just want to hear it from the horses mouth lol!

How easy is it to get the leather front armrest from a Vrs as there aren't any on ebay? I guess I'll be ringing some Breakers for two things then:

1. Rear 60% backrest with center armrest.

2. Front Vrs leather (faux) front armrest.

God I want these in my car badly but I'm also scared of the misses, help me!

I've put some money to one side for suspension but these are so tempting......I know I'll crack and buy a set

Set 7 :o)
