Waiter! There's A Fly In My Radiator....

Featured Replies

... or, to be more precise, the front of the radiator is plastered with ex-insects. Is it safe to take a scrubbing brush to it? I don't have a pressure washer or compressed air supply to blast the stuff away.

I would use a soft brush - eg a toothbrush well past its replacement date or a 2" paintbrush - and plenty of water. IIRC the condenser is in front of the radiator, so it is the former you will be cleaning.

Just watch your knuckles! I found out the hard way!

Yes, it's the condenser (just got a shiny new one) and IMHO, you'd be better off with a dry brush. Knock them off with a paintbrush and then either hoover them out of the bottom of the bumper, or leave them to fall out of their own accord.
