De badged at last.

Featured Replies

It took me ages to decide on this but I eventually done it tonight when I got home from work.

Removed the Skoda and Citigo badges and I like the final look. This shot was just after in the dark but will take another later in the sun.

I masked all round the badges then used a small plastic scraper to get under the letters which came off very easy with no pressure. It left nearly all the sticky adhesive though. I removed the masking tape then applied AG tar and adhesive remover which dissolved the sticky tape. Rinsed off with water then applied some Megs Ultimate Compound for a little cutting so you couldn't see the wording in the paintwork followed by AG SRP. One thing I did notice is that when the letters were removed a lot of dirt had accumulated around them. So now an easy wash smoother tailgate.

Looks good, if I see you I'll give a wave :)

Need a further away shot before I can pass judgement on this Paul

Agreed. Liking it but not 100% sure for my Sport yet.  Take another picture from further away. ;)

Welcome to the debadged club  I think it looks a lot better. One thing though, best to heat the badges with a hairdryer first and remove them with dental floss.

Here is a good how to debadge video

Those letters really popped off with no struggle at all. Couldn't believe it. The amount of dirt and polish that gets stuck around those letters is terrible.

Definitely coming round to the Citigo debadged look

Initially wasn't keen, but its growing on me

As said, definitely easier to clean without them, as I found out on past cars ive owned.

I do like that smooth look as the badges made it too cluttered. :)

looks good, nice and clean look on the sport not sure it would suit a standard citigo especially with nothing on the back the stripes help alot.

Not sure on the number plate look on your first lot of pics, the later pics look better ;)

I removed the Skoda letters from my Citigo Elegance not long after I got it but wasn't sure about removing the Citigo letters;

Looks good on a Sport though.

I'd actually think removing Citigo would look good even though you don't have stripes. Clean smooth finish :)

I was debating at first to keeping one or the other then I thought it's got a Skoda emblem so that was good enough.

Does look good on Green mind you :)

BECAUSE OF THIS TREAD I DID IT TOO !!!!!!!!!!!

And absolutly love it, it made my car look more "clean" and it actually looks more wide from behind...well thats just my opinion ;-)

Thanks for all the info on how to do it, I did use the hairdryer for the first letter but didn't have the patience and just "flossed" the **** out of it, witch was very easy...the sticky stuff under the letters was not that easy to get of, but tar remover did the job ;-)
