Picking up a citigo sport!

Featured Replies

Looking to grab a white pre-reg sport from Rainworth Skoda.....

Just wondered, what were the differences (technologically) between the 60 and 75bhp versions?

I've seen remap options out there (100bhp!) but Im unsure if parts differ between the cars, or it is simply a remap?

Im not 100% sure but I think the only difference is the map.

You can't get 100bhp out of one of those.

Where are you seeing remaps? I could do with a couple of ponies...

I've seen remaps advertised giving about 80bhp.but I agree any more than that is pushing it.

I few places are doing bench remaps..... the link for 100bhp was from the Cupra forum I cant find to hand.

The Elegance is the better buy due to the extras you get as standard;) ;)...now runs and hides.

I'd agree, but I don't need heated seats and would never use the electric mirrors and the looks of the sport swing it for me.

I guess you buy what suits you .....

Sport is the one to have Dinger, and you know it...

Looks so much better than the plain elegance model ;)

I agree Markyg and damo, Sport turns heads.  The end.

Can you close the thread now damo? Thanks.

Hmmm... tempted to haha

Main differences are an extra 25% more power and 6% shorter gearing on the 75ps models. Torque is identical up to around 4500rpm, then the 75ps revs out better. 6% shorter gearing means 6% more a acceleration in the low and mid range, plus the extra 25% at the top end. Not big power difference when you start with **** all, but every little helps when you don't have much.

Well, just put the deposit down on this bad boy today for SWMBO

Not an amazing deal but not a bad one.... Lots of Spreadsheet action involved for anyone who interested lol....

She is already registered (was done so by the dealer to hit target), but literally went from the transporter to the showroom and stayed there. so apart from the dealer being on the V5 it's a new car.

Missed out on the 0%, but got her for £10K with mudflaps, a spare, a tank of fuel and 3yrs free servicing. SWMBO is now excited and is thinking of a name ;)

That showroom looks familiar.

Thats not a bad deal, but it makes the one I got seem excellant, sorry!

where did you get it from?? That dealer does look familiar, even though its probably no where near me!

Yeah, the end of the PCP deals have just made everything more expensive.... :(

The Mii Sport was actually the better buy (sorry!) with 0% PCP, 75bhp engine, and DAB. But SWMBO preferred the look (and likely residuals) of the sport.

Dealer is Rainworth Skoda :)

You'll love it pal, even though they are not particularly quick the noises it'll make somehow just make you smile, they look great and they do handle well (I can only comment on the Sport handling as not driven the other models).

I enjoy driving her Citigo, it's just like all the fun I had as an apprentice when we used to race our slow as hell vans everywhere lol. You can have some really good fun in them on B roads and not even break the speed limit :-)

On a practical note they are amazing for fitting in the parking spaces everybody leaves in the towns/cities or even on the school run, good amount of room for 4 passengers and for such a small car they have a decent boot, a real winner as a city or second car.
