Any one beat this mpg

Featured Replies

I have done two brim to brim manual consumption tests on my superb and both times it was correct to within 0.5 mpg.  Some manufacturers computers though can be really inaccurate.

Given that the Octavia 1.6 diesel is a lighter car an perhaps with better aerodynamics than the Superb, it would not surprise me if a careful driver could average 68-70 mpg once run in.

Nope.... about 50 mpg away from that!

Jealous of all these fantastic mpg figures. My car is showing 40.3 mpg on the long term joys of being in Germany and hardly ever driving at 30 mph all my driving is either 40,60,80 or flat out on the unrestricted parts of the autobahns. Good fun though. I have nearly used as much fuel in 5 months as my old 140 Superb SE twin door did in a year !!!

I'm averaging 23 mpg over ~2500 miles. I'm guessing I'm having way more fun than you...

26.5mpg over 1200 miles for my VRS TSI manual so far. I am well pleased with this considering the vast majority of my trips are around town.

WTF do I care, they dig this stuff outa the ground you know, my little 1.4 puts a huge smile on my face and doesn't sound like an agricultural vehicle.

Best choice I ever made, petrol auto, love it.

Hello.

The best brand I've managed to get my usual route to work (55 miles) has been 88.28 MPG with 48 MPH) . Today I had a little tailwind, but it was not strong .

On this tour I usually get 77 MPG and 51 MPH (always with the waste of time to get the car out of the garage and look for parking on arrival), but today I have been especially careful with the throttle and also it shows that there are more temperature in the street and before the engine warms up .

These stockings get them to go to work. Normally I work around more quickly and I get 65 MPG.

In my leisure time, the average rises to 61 MPG, and the total average consumption was about 69 MPG.

This has been so since I changed the wheels for a ultra light and measure 205 55 16. My engine is the 2.0 tdi 150.

It was a big decision, as do many annual miles and savings with these new tires compared to the initial 18-inch is about 0.3 gallons per 100 miles. The onboard computer usually mark 0,026 gallons more than real.

Here I upload some photos today. Excuse me, but are in Spanish. If I continue this mean, I can get 888 miles. That would be my personal record.
