Take it the "..weather it looked good..." is a deliberate pun, being a Mansfield lad?

I had 4 fitted on thursday. Road noise better.. handling very good in dry.. amazing in wet. Deepest and most unique tread pattern i have ever had on any of my previous tyres. Highly recommend vu3e2ute.jpg

Too premature to comment on overall performance in long term (I've ONLY JUST HAD THEM FITTED!!! ), but as Benni says, look incredible, good handling dry, comfort and noise are also very good

Haven't tried wet yet, but seems to have the credentials there to suite

Got these on mk2 vrs, had them couple months now. in the wet better then anything iv had before in the dry very good never had the Tc kick in yet plenty of grip quiet aswell especially compared to conti sp2 that were onit

Would these be recommended for a 1.2 htp ambiente?  (Not just for you boy racers in your VRS's)

Kiddy on the way so most interested in grip / safety.

If you can't get the RS3 in your size they do a tyre called a Rain Expert ( I think )

I have the RainExperts fitted on my car and they're very good in the wet... virtually no aquaplaning hitting standing water at speed.

They're certainly not sports tyres, though the grip in the dry is as good as I've experienced for this tyre size. The performance compared to the ditchfinders (Roadstone CP something or others... very, very skiddy in the slightest bit of moist) the car had on it when I got it is like night and day, but then, I'd imagine the car would handle better on blutac than the tyres that were on it.  :giggle:

I don't think you'll find better for the price. They're just over £30 a corner in 185/60/14 from Camskill

How much you looking at a corner for 16" anyone know? (Around 205/45/16)

I need four new tyres. Looked on Camskill and they are £249.60 excluding having them fitted :o (Thats RS3's 205/45/16)

Thats nothing... i have had a mare recently with tyres. I bought 4 new budget ones for 180 fitted last week. After one day of driving it was the most unsafe terrifying experience in my life.. the walls were so soft a slight movement of the steering wheel meant the whole car literarly jumped from side to side. The garage then offered me 80 quid to buy the tyres back and i gave him 280 for 4 RS3's. It was an expensive mistake but i will never buy cheap again. Great tyre and 280 fitted and balanced was a great price. So all in all i lost 100 quid in 2 days on tyres lol

Well done you got there in the end tho Benni lol

They don't call em ditchfinders for nowt ;) Dunno if its just the weather but the RS3 "feel" quite sticky and ultra comfortable/soft. Highly recommended for the money

Good to see more positive reviews.

I've got a set of 4 in the garage that i bought the day before my car got written off.

They'll come for Mrs Pasty's Fabia eventually but glad they are being well received.

The one thing i hope is that the sidewalls are tougher than the Rainsport 2s which are super squidgy

I'm considering getting the 87Ws to replace the 83 rated RS2's I bought last time to try and avoid this. The RS2s seem so soft!

Wish I'd seen these before I shelled out on some middle of the road Hancooks :(
