  • Been told the car will be ready for collection on the 22nd. It's been at Dagenham for a week. Have lodged a complaint with Ford. Also thinking of checking paint thicknesses upon collection.

  • Paint thickness gauge purchased!

  • Rather than phone calls etc I just went down there for a chat.  Probably easiest.   Short version is a few "sweetners" and I can get my car tomorrow, it's arrived today at the dealership. Just got

Apparently not...

I'm absolutely intrigued as to what they've got to say about the latest delay/excuse.

You spoken to the dealer principle about this farce?

Pulled up alongside one of these at some traffic lights yesterday btw.

I looked at him...a geezer in his 70's I'd guess, and he looked at me.

We both took off side by side at a very sedate pace, but I don't think he was happy me staying alongside him, so he floored it!

Left him to it, daft owld trout. :D

Yes Mr Ree, apparently it's an unwritten rule that you have to be under 40 to drive one.

So I am only allowed to keep mine nine months...

Must admit, I was a bit suprised when I looked at him, but even more so when he absolutely wellied it! :D

He really looked like a Nissan Micra type.

Good on him I say  .

I absolutely LUV seeing older /mature sheeples behaving sort of badly.

You can't judge those either! :D

Never assume is the rule....

£500 in 9 months, open offer :D

I know.

The 86 yr old Monster in Law drives a 1.25 Fiesta, and she makes that go like a ruddy ST! :D

Currently on 6 points iirc. :o

Anyways, all this 'Fiesta' talk aside, are you really just testing the Ford dealers in a pre Mustang V8 ordering move Richard???????

be interesting to see what you think about these. My mate works for the local Ford dealer so I "shouldn't" have issues if I got one. Only thing is I was thinking I was too old for one at 30........ Obviously not the case :giggle:

I'm just going to wear a baseball cap... backwards. ;)

does it tune in to anything other than Radio 1? Could be interested in yours when it comes up for sale ;-)

Next time we are in't Wirral, if you sneer at us oldies at the 'lights, (& we're in Madams vRS, ) we might just do the same.........

If I'm driving my Superb, I'd not bother.........unless I happened to drop the stick into "S" by mistake!

When I was a lad, we respected our elders......mumble, mumble..........

Just got to go back in a couple of weeks due to short supply of the Mountune kit.

In one way it will be interesting to directly compare before and after the Mountune upgrade.

Even though I'd rather have had it fitted from day one.

I've checked the car over and it's fine.

Well our resident Foxy one,. have you actually got it now then....surely? :o

Holy moly.

Just seen your post ^^^^, sorry.

To be honest I'm getting to the stage where I never want to buy any Ford ever again Ken.

All I seem to get is messed about when buying and then stuffed if you used them for servicing and aftersales.

Well judging by the comments on the thread, you're hardly the first.

My old dear bought a Fiesta (not an ST) - the dealer registered the car in December but she didn't get it till January which makes it a 2013 and not a 2014.

An ST today on The Granite City Rally.

(Plenty of nice Escorts as well.)

Oh yes ^^^^

You comin' down to Northumbria for the Pirelli next weekend George?

Is that your Jimny in pic 1 btw?

Going to try to.

Here is a Skoda & Ford pic to stay on topic.  & a couple of real Classic Brits.

Fiesta ST @ 1 minute 5 seconds. & at 4:20
