My old drunken purchase of last summer passed it's MOT today with no advisories - very pleased. Since my old Volvo died last November it has been my daily driver and I can't praise it enough. Still slightly disbelieving as to it's brilliance. Looking forward to another year of it.

 

I've got some new parts for it. was holding them back until the MOT to see what was what but I'd like to find some new rear drums for it to go with the new shoes. They do seem to be a bit hard to come by though.

 

I've mailed SkoParts Int. and thought I'd ask here too.

You really want to get the old ones off, and measure them to see if they're larger than the maximum wear limit before worrying about replacements. There's a good chance that they won't be because drums with asbestos pads wear really slowly: 100k miles from shoes and pads is far from unknown.

Yeah she's made of the right stuff for sure. No intention of changing anything, maybe some sort of paint/rust protection this summer but she's pretty much perfect as is. 

 

Could do with a clock though, I do miss having one of those.

No it's a grey coloured paint, looks like a wood primer colour. I'll grab a close up pic tomorrow if I can.

It's just painted as you can see. No idea if this was original, I rather doubt it.
