My what a hairy pussy! (look at the pics).

been on my watch list for a few days. Ta for posting this :wonder:

Lol my thoughts exactly!

I appreciate it, that's what the forums all about!

I've always wondered, like this thread when people put a listing on ebay and and say *****CHEAP***** How do they know its cheap? How do they know it what it'll be bid to?

***** POTENTIALLY CHEAP XENONS! ****

Can these just be straight swopped?

No no... Lots of additional work... wiring.. need to be coded and are highly illegal without autoleveling and headlight washers.

Can these just be straight swopped?

no, total ball ache, much time coding in, getting a new light switch, washers etc etc. More bother than they're now bid for TBH. Don't bother :giggle:

same thought :)

As above...

Can these just be straight swopped?

pretty much, yes I think :)

That depends on if you want to do it the proper way with the correct switch, auto leveling sensor, larger washer bottle and headlight washers etc. or if you want to just shove them in because xenon was a cool game back in the day and the bitmap brothers ruled so they must be good.

Plug and play

Auto-levelling and headlight was only required 'if fitted'

Jump off the bandwagon!

Simple install and no coding required. Possibly loom adaptor at the headlight or possibly not

Get them bought and let the haters hate yo!

cause they are over 1k plus vat from skoda!

Bloody hell they have shot up in price since last night

Straight fit and no coding ... Done it myself. No need for the washers (quick wipe every morning before my commute is sufficient) as not an MOT fail to not have fitted, just a fail if fitted and not working (from my MOT guy)

Yes you could argue I'm a pikey and not done a proper job, but hey!

Why not depo Xenons? Can get them in black and chrome, I paid £180 for a pair on a group buy I set up, fantastic lights and they really do look the t*ts!

First thing I did was get them mot'd for aligning, they weren't far off at all and they will pass no problem. And that's with no headlamp washers so it's obviously not a requirement if you don't have them fitted

How have they been holding up? Read a few reports of steaming up, suspect build quality? I was considering that route myself until these popped up B)

Although they look nice depo lights quality is nowhere near oem

They have had little spells of steaming up very minor but have cleared, they haven't misted up for a very long time and I've had them for a good 6-8months maybe even longer.

however the 2010 plate BMW that parks next door to me his mist up quite a bit but then they clear.

as a piece of mind you could silicone the join all around before fitting them

The main thing that is to have a backing cover that seals properly

On mine the backing covers had a square hole in them, I actually bought some new ones to drill a 8mm hole through it to get the wires though, I then glued a square patch of neoprene on slitting where the hole was, and that seems to have sealed the units nicely.

I did also run some silicone round the join just as a piece of mind.

Everything else has been fantastic on them and they look no different to OEM ones except I went for the black inners as I think they look more modern and meaner
