thanks, still not easy though, I can see them, but no prices, and I cant simply put 4 in a "basket" what are these not listed at demon tweeks or ebay?! lol..

You're kidding?! Demon Tweeks is the first result I get in ebay.co.uk when I enter "Bilstein 35-052180" and "Bilstein 24-067904", obviously you have to add 2x of each! They are also available at dpmperformance, then it's about shipping costs I suppose. Luckily I had a cheaper option finding them available at a Belgian shop that however doesn't ship to the UK. One of the few things I found to be sold significantly cheaper outside the UK...

yeah, it comes up on e-bay, but not their own website :( I found dpm performance :)

Comes up with me with lots of suppliers via Amazon.

£478 delivered from amazon... not bad....

  • 10 months later...

From what I can tell yes. If you scroll down that page in item description you can see that the codes are the same as the ones I had provided on my 1st post and even if you select Skoda Fabia 2010 1.4 TSI on the compatibility list of the seller, the answer is that the item matches, so I'm guessing they're the correct ones?

Looking at getting these fitted at some point too.  Will see what Jabbasport can do to supply and fit :)

Larkspeed sell them, pretty reasonable too

think I'm gonna have to wait until next year for mine.... funds and all! my new mod for this year is the front anti roll bar and its polybushes.

  • 4 weeks later...

Finally got the B8's installed, very pleased - the ride is still firm, but the edge has definitely been taken off the jarring from the Eibachs over bumps and dips.   :sun:

sounds good! how do you find the ride over high speed bumps? this is my issue with the standard shocks.... it seems to "wallow" feels underdamped!

One thing I've always thought since having the B8's and H&R's is, although a lot firmer it actually handles speed bumps and the general crappiness of our roads much better. In my estate I do find the rear bounces a little over speed bumps but you have to expect that with stronger rebound.

I can't give you much of a technical impression, other than the ride just feels "right" or "as it should" now. I think that maybe, compared to the stock springs, I actually feel the small bumps a little more, though clearly, the larger bumps are far more muted. In other words, the average rebound may not be all that different, just without the extremes at either end of the scale, if that makes any sense.

The other thing that occurred to me is it felt like the steering had suddenly gained more precision, as if I had more feel for the road,  e how far to turn the wheel. Maybe I am now getting the full benefit of the rear swaybar. Or maybe this is just my wild imagination. :D Then again, I generally tend to notice differences more initially, before I get used to the new "normal". I'm definitely sure the car drives a lot differently to stock now.
