Under bonnet stickers

Featured Replies

After my new car having a new bumper it's now missing the two stickers from the the top of the grille/slam panel.......  I've tried searching online ETKA's but they're bloody hard work, just wondering if the stickers happen to have to have the part numbers on them if someone could have a quick check when they have a minute, also a photo what they look like would be great. :)

They do indeed.  Just trying to get the damn pix off my phone cam (not as easy as it should be!)

Got 'em.

It was a case of Android meets Windows, sticks 2 fingers up at it and shouts "naar, naar, nee, naar-naaaaaaaaar" at the top of its voice.

Clicky linky things as I can't see how to do thumbnails and they are too big to post up.....

If the repair centre have missed these they should be putting it right for you at their cost.

Why at their cost?

Seeing as I paid them for the repairs all they'd be doing is charging me for the stickers, about £4 for the two and then labour to fit them so what the point when I can fit them myself and make sure they're straight and bubble free, it's only costing me the price of the stickers which i'd have to pay the bodyshop for anyway.....

If I put my few month old car in for repair and it came back missing these stickers arguably its not that bigger a deal but it should be returned with the stickers just as it went in. They are dealer parts and they overlooked ordering and fitting them for you....just a bit of a lack of attention to detail in my opinion thats all.

Fair enough though I guess you paid for the repair rather than going through insurance (is that correct?) so perhaps cheaper for you to do it yourself in hindsight

Yes I did pay for the repairs myself so even if they did fit them they'd have charged me for the parts so i'm not losing anything doing it myself and its really no big deal.

Nah fair enough, sorry didnt consider that it might not be an insurance job with my original post.

Hmmm... WTF Neil, you got a quote from professionals to repair to like new condition your car, you paid them what they quoted and they didn't do their part and repair it to like new condition, I think you got turned over Neil, I'd be back there relaxing them (ie. kicking their asses so hard they could use them as head rests in future). The stickers were a part of the job professionals would have quoted for and already paid for, doing it yourself just put £4 in their pocket and let some bodyshop employee sit on his backside longer.

They didn't quote nor charge me for the stickers, they're weren't on the itemised quote or the intemised invoice once the job was complete.

Neil, I stand corrected and its now obvious, the stickers were your intentional omission from the outset.

What is the big deal with those stickers anyway? Why are they so important?

I guess it might make the difference between the next purchaser agreeing to buy the car from Neily or having a nagging doubt that it's had a major shunt at some point in its life???

Stands out a mile as the first clue of an accident repair if there missing come resale time; well to anyone who knows what there looking at anyway.

If the repair it to a professional standard and back to full factory spec it should be hard to spot, problem is finding that professional repair these days.

The the shape and location of the stickers is moulded into the slam panel, it just looks weird without them and I like my car look right.

Just incase you didn't get an answer I've just checked mine and I've got one silver/black and one yellow/black as in your photo below.
