Air Con Condenser

Featured Replies

Hi

Had something put a ding in the air con condenser. Air con not working now

Waiting for main dealer to come back with a price but not expecting it to be competative.

I'm going to try the Lion Garage in Hinckley or Loughborough too.

Any other suggestions that I could try?

Cheers

Mark

Dealer price fitted is over £500

Search for After Market Condensors, they can be had for £80ish + fitting

Mines got a few battle scars but it's still working, had it tested today

Mines just stopped working, just found a small stone in it,when i turn on the ac I'm getting a hissing noise inside the car, anyone else have this?

I've had the hissing noise. Car went in for a service last week and air con condenser had a hole in it.

One thing I'm going to do for sure is buy some plastic mesh and fit it to the inside of both the top and bottm grille.

Quick search shows that some 2mm square mesh would only cost about a fiver.

Does anyone know is the condensor a big job to fit on a 2012 Vrs tdi?
