Cadwell Park 5th July 2014

Featured Replies

Anybody fancy a Saturday blast at Cadwell?  A few mates of mine are already booked, I will be booking this next week so hope to see some of you there.

LOOK HERE

I may well end up joining you :)

Unlikely with a full day booked at Combe on June 20th. :)

I missed out on Cadwell last time... might very well be tempted by this.

I'm booking soon.

The more the better, looking at the bookings so far, there is a good mix of cars so a few fast Octy's would mix things up a bit too.

One fast octy and one not so fast one (me)?

Would love to give Cadwell another go, especially in the summer, but I have a feeling that both my car will be tired from Combe, and something else is niggling me that is on that weekend too.

I know le Tour is starting in Yorkshire that weekend...

Well not long now until Cadwell, did any of you book in? Ilmor? Hardcorehobbit?

In the end no, I will one day go round there. Money is tight, I'm going to book the national meet instead.

Im the same as hardcorehobbit... Got the national meet (which i still need to book) and bedford soon.

Here are a couple of videos from Cadwell yesterday, an incredible circuit that is challenging and fast, I will return and can recommend it to anybody thinking about going, get it booked and do it!

I had a few moments shall we say as it was wet and my tyres were... well not for the wet put it that way!

A few laps in the wet;

The more embarrassing moments;

You didn't like that descent to the valley did you?! :D   I can see how in the wet that would be interesting.

It caught me out twice Jason, however, later in the day we were flying around, Cadwell is an extremely quick circuit and you have to have a big pair of nada to keep your foot flat and turn in, especially turn 1 which was flat in 5th once it dried out.

 595 RS-R's are quite a good all round tyre but in the very wet they are left wanting! I see a second set of wheels and wet weather tyres coming I think but then I suppose I would need slicks too and that would lead to needing a roll cage too... Where will it end ?  :sweat:

Yeah, assume you mean THE quick turn 1 - I thought it was turn 3 or 4 when you leave the pit. :)

Last time I was there the setting sun (it was winter time) was making that quick turn interesting as you were essentially going flat out into a sun blind uphill corner :D

Looks like great fun. I'll definitely be trying to get to a day there in future.

Looks like fun James. :)

I have to say, it is the best circuit I have been to so far, you guys must get up and have a go.

I would agree, and its a damn shame its the other side of the country for me. :(

Great, only had passenger laps around it.

Best one top of the hill, the big horseshoe one (1st vid 1:45). Back steps out thanks in part to a mk1 golf dragging mud on from an odd off at the turn in...

Anyway backwards at 120 in a tuscan is quite good fun. Paul did well to keep it on the tarmac as it's not exactly wide up there.
