Im having the cambelt and tensioner replaced next week as my Octavia VRS has done 75k.

Am i best to get them to replace the water pump at the same time ??

Have just done that on my octavia.

The skoda workshop man told me that they always change the water pump

when replacing the cambelt.

one with a metal impeller would be good,not sure if available through dealers.

The dealer offered me something that sound refurbished - it was significantly cheaper while I have to let them keep the old one - I think they send them back to factory and equip the old housing with meta impeller
