Good shout Denis, bearing in mind that its 10 or 11 quid for a 1 litre top-up bottle...

Might be worth anyone who needs it buying in now, and tell your dealers to use it for your next service :)

I thinks its more than that a litre, Geoff -

I thought that offer was only running over the weekend. The Halfords in Biggleswade doesn't stock SLXII, and I haven't had time to get to the one in Slough today.

Good news if it is still on!

I was charged nearly

Aaaarrrgggghhhh! I left work before your post! It's only a 2 min diversion at the roundabout as well. Damn! OK, back in Sluff on Thursday - will check there then and if not at Biggleswade on the way home.

Howard,

you going to be around Sluff next Wednesday? If so may be you can come to the Southern Mini-meet.

Cheers.

Adrian.

True it's the m.r.r.p -- but as Audi send the info to all lease co's -- most centres are charging at this rate,as this does allow for a profit.

And as the bulk of Audi service work is done via lease co's -- there is no point in trying to charge more -- they know how much it should be -- plus it's a big improvement on what we used to be able to charge lease co's -- Audi Financial services would only allow

nope thats what VAG recomend the dealers are free to charge wot ever the hell they like as long as VAG get there cut and the dealer makes there targets.

to force them to sell it at a certain price would be illegal.

Its only illegal if they are caught. If it is though, why are VAG spares supposed to be the same price at any dealer?

Andy

Price has gone back up at Halfords (well at least in Sluff). Bah! Service is due soon as well!!!

This will all be turned on it's head when block exemption comes through.

no VAG parts are all now recomended at the same price this dosent mean that they will al be the same price. the parts department can charge wot ever they like.

block exemption is through already its started at the begining of the year but it hasnt changed a great deal yet. and the car companys are trying to make it as dificult as possable for anyone to change it.

the majority of work in audi dealers isnt lease company work at all. i work in an audi dealer and it makes up a small amount of the overall work.
