Any must-have options?

Featured Replies

I wonder how a black vinyl wrap would go in full Aussie summer sun.

Don't know - but it has stood up to several trips to a very hot south of France and cold winters in North Yorkshire. One year old now, and no signs of wear at all.

I just thought it might expand in severe heat and bubble/pucker.

I tend to do that in anything above mild heat. :giggle:

What about all those racing V8s? All the logos etc are vinyl wrapped aren't they?

The people who applied it said this might happen on its first exposure to extreme heat but that it would settle back down of its own accord. In fact, I took the car to the south of France and temperatures in the upper 30s a few days after the vinyl was fitted, and there was no sign of any adverse reaction at all.

On an SE (which is generally to be sensible with cost) the options worth adding are the spare wheel, auto lights/wipers and the lumbar support for the seats.

(based on my bug-eye Yeti ordering, not sure exact spec on the indoor/outdoor versions)

Just out of interest, what would be your justification for spending £255 on the auto lights and wipers?  They came as standard on my Elegance and I do leave them enabled 99.99% of the time, but I still think of them as a nice toy rather than meeting a genuine need.

Seems to keep the RVM out of line of sight better?

Heated windscreen is the best option of all, in my opinion.

Go with Candy White - but have your roof and wing mirrors vinyl-wrapped in black: cheap but very effective!

I must say that I loved my front screen heater on the ford Focus, when I worked 12 hour rolling shifts.

I was disappointed when I could not get a s/h Yeti with a heated windscreen.
