That's Goodbye from me

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I traded in the vRS for a new motor - gots me a A5 (3.0 Tdi for those who care).

The vRS served me EXTREMELY well and this is mostly down to this form.

The tips, advise (and at the expense of my bank balance the modifications suggestions) meant that it was a happy and very well maintained car.

Only ever had to replace a Coolant temp sensor and a starter motor.

This is how she left (crappy photo).

She had LCR brembos, R32 steering, H&R lowering springs with Bilstein B6's (bit crashy for those interested), Toyo SMIC, forge TIP, S3 upper and lower strut braces, polybushed to sunder and thicker roll bars all round.

More importantly it had a black carpet fitted too!

Want to thank all of you who helped in particular Bowders and Luca!

Peace all,

Gavin

A5 is, imho, the best looking current Audi.

Is it shiney new off the delivery truck, or has some kind soul been nice enough to run it in for you over the last few months?

You'll have to post some pics up, before you get banned ;)

HAHA - Nah she is a 6 year old car, with only 65000 km on it :o.

So far I am really enjoying the power and the refinement, but will always have a "special place in my heart" (bleugh) for the Octy! :)

Was it a 05 model? (sorry, can't make out from the photo very well)

Where did you trade it in?

Seems amazing mileage for a big diesel Audi, best of luck with it!

Yeah it was 2005 plated Octy, i can see it. Its a pretty clean lookin car :)

40,000 mls on a 6yr old car is pretty low, but if it was Dublin based too, it could be a low miler very easily :)

Love the A5 and I work for Audi everyone loves the look of them if you have any issues your welcome to pick my brains! Only things I'll say to keep on eye on are window regulators, EGR cooler/valve and intake manifold flaps
