Radio problems with MFSW

Featured Replies

Ladies and gents

I hope you may be able to assist once again - I have a problem with the radio when using the multi function steering wheel arrows to select the preset radio stations.

The unit is an Admundsen in a 110 SE+.  I had to have the original unit replaced, along with the aeriel as the SATNAV side of things went caput, so now the NAV works but the radio/MFSW doesn't.

When using the arrows on the MFSW it sometimes misses the sequential preset then sends me all over the place.  In the pictures below you will see the six preset stations, all with green rings around them.

The selected preset should have a white ring to highlight this fact but this is the problem. If the preset is not shown in white it skips to another preset when trying to select.  Any ideas before it goes back to the dealers - btw it took them three attempts to acknowledge a fault with the NAV on the first unit and I thought I'd get more sense on here!

Thanks in anticipation

Hi Chubbs,

I retrofitted a Columbus in my F/L and a fellow member coded it for me.

We had a problem with the volume scroll button not working and eventually had to update the software on the radio unit to get it to work.

Not sure if your vehicle is new but assuming you have some warranty as they replaced your radio unit.

If this is the case and everything worked ok before I would return it for them to sort.

I'm sure somebody here will assist with an answer, friendly bunch on here. Found many an answer myself.

In setup there is an option to scan the frequencies or to scroll through memories in sequence.

Thanks for the above, just tried it and it appears to be working as desired - saved from more ear bending from SWMBO!!  Well done!

Regards
