Part numbers for lower arm bolts

Featured Replies

Hi guys, I am changing my front lower control arms on friday and want to put new bolts in. Can anyone point me in the direction of part numbers? I can't seem to find anything after a search :( I'm sure I saw a bowders (of course) thread about it once.

Also, anyone have a good fix for rotating rivnuts on the sway bar subframe mount?

I can't remember off the top of my head, but they are pretty standard.... (ie. once you know the size, thread & strength you can source elsewhere for much less money)

Thanks, only problem is...once they are out I can't pop down to B&Q to grab some new ones  :giggle:

seat Ibiza are 8mmX3 per side

Do you mean wishbones? I've just had mine out to fit some new Audi TT bushes and had a bit of a mare tracing the right part numbers for the bolts. I did find them though so if that's what you need I'll find the reciept.

yes, wishbones please! I'd be most interested the sizes if you have them as well as part number.

I recently replaced my lower wishbones (std pressed steel units) and used new nuts and bolts.

The numbers are (if they are any use to you) :-

Rear bolt (Vertical mounting).....N 102 622 02 (Hex hd bolt M12 x 1.5 x 70 long)

Nut.............................................N 015 081  6 (Hex nut M12 x 1.5)

Front Bolt (Horizontal).........N 904 840 04 (M12 x 1.5 x 82 long)

(This screws into a pre tapped hole in the sub frame)

It was the rear bolt I had trouble getting the part no for. Even looking through my receipts the number for that bolt isn't there. What you might find though like I did, if those wishbones havnt been out, the bolts that go into the ball joint plate will just snap or seize. I had to get a lift up to TPS for some when the car was in bits. So:

Lock plate : S1J0407175B x2

Bolt. : SN10127707. x6

Yeah, I had a cheeky go loosening some of the bolts last weekend and found the ball joint plates were just spinning. Good thing I'm planning to replace those anyway :) Gave it a liberal dose of penetrating fluid whilst I was there as well.

Cheers for the part numbers etc guys.
