I just moved back from Saudi Arabia to Bracknell (does it ever stop rainning ;-) and bought a 2003 Octavia Estate 1.6 Ambient in January (needed the space for the dog)

Car is ok also should have gone for a 1.8 or TDi but that will be next year if I'm still in the UK.

thanks a lot for all the welcome notes.

Nice to hear about the BBQ but I'm already fully booked until end of September, have to catch up with a lot of friends as we were a bit out of touch when I was in Saudi.

Just had the engine light coming on and brought the car to the nearest service centre in Camberley. They first changed the sensor but the light came back on the next day so back there and now it seems it's the lambda probe (they have to order one for next week).

I got a courtesy car for the day but didn't check it when I took it. Just drove from Camberley to Bracknell parked the car at work and took it back to Camberley. When the receptionist checked it he discovered a scratch on the left side and off course they will ask me to pay for it. Should I argue or is it a waste of time? BTW the car was parked on the extreme left side of the parking so I can't see how someone would have scratched it (rear left bumper)
